OUTRUN

Outrun is an altered version of the full-length film “Running On Empty” (1988). River Phoenix’s character has been edited out of every scene. No footage has actually been deleted, instead the frame has been zoomed and repositioned to eliminate his presence. All of his dialogue was then filled in with ambient sound from the film. In some parts of the video you can tell right away that someone is missing; in others it only becomes apparent after awhile that something is ‘off.’
