Video was created from a short clip of a film scene where River Phoenix professes his love for his girlfriend for the first time. The footage was rotated on its side, slowed down and woven into an endless loop, suspending him in a state of what might be either pain or ecstasy.

"I Love You" and "Outrun" are companion pieces; they act as interventions into an enclosed fictional world that express, in equally fictional terms, something that has actually happened – the absence of a person being felt, the act of dying being watched.
